Atriplex intracontinentalis Sukhor. an der Kalihalde Beienrode (Königslutter, Niedersachsen)

There is a report about a find of Atriplex intracontinentalis Sukhor. at the potash dump in the vicinity of Beienrode (city of Königslutter, district of Helmstedt). This is the first evidence in the hills of Lower Saxonian. The continental inland (Eastern European-Asian) species has not been widely distinguished from Atriplex littoralis L., which is mainly distributed in the coastal regions of Europe and North Africa. Reference is given to the main distinguishing features of both species and it is suggested that the domestic occurrences of the species previously referred to as A. littoralis should be reviewed.
