pathways-ensemble-analysis v1.0.0: an open-source library for systematic and robust analysis of pathways ensembles

Ensembles of mitigation pathways, produced by multiple different models, are becoming increasingly influential as the world seeks to define climate goals and implement policy to meet them. In this context a range of open-source code has been developed to standardise and facilitate the systematic and robust analysis of mitigation pathways. We introduce a new open-source package, pathways-ensemble-analysis which provides an object-oriented framework for the key steps in analysis, describing its structure and providing an illustrative example of its use. This tool is a further step which can help the community in conducting best practice in pathways-ensemble analysis.
